PTA Information
We would like to invite you to become a
member
of the McNair Elementary Parent Teacher Association, better known as
the
PTA. The PTA is a volunteer based
organization
whose focus is strictly on the CHILDREN, from the school they attend to
the
communities that they live in, promoting an environment that provides
opportunities
for growth into healthy and happy responsible citizens.
The PTA has several goals which are set by
the
National PTA. They include:
- Promoting
the welfare of children in home, school and community
- Securing
adequate laws for the care and protection of children
- Creating
a closer relationship between the home and school so that teachers and
parents may cooperate intelligently in the education of the children
- Developing
united efforts between educators and the general public to secure for
all children the highest advantages in physical, mental and social
education
To accomplish these goals, the PTA shall:
- Be
educational, helping parents, teachers and others to gain knowledge of
the needs and development of the children.
- Work
with the school to insure quality education for all children
- Be
noncommercial, nonsectarian and non-partisan.
- Support
legislation on the basis of issues or principles, not candidates or
political parties
- Cooperate
with other agencies active in child welfare through joint studies,
surveys or projects

The McNair PTA is urging all McNair families
to join the PTA and become active members.
The PTA provides many valuable activities and
opportunities
for all of the children of McNair Elementary School.
Please remember that ANYONE in the
community
and your family can join. Membership is $6
a
person so just fill out the information below, attach your dues and
return
them to McNair Elementary
