McNair Spirit Wear Sales Tuesday, September 4, 2007 to Friday, September 14, 2007 Purchase the latest McNair Wear during these two weeks. The PTA is only taking pre-orders for these items. We will not be placing another order for these shirts. Our Spring 2008 order will be for Field Day shirts only. This is not a fundraiser for the PTA. Additional order forms can be found in the Parent Resource Center. Red Ribbon Week Monday, October 22 – 26, 2007 Spread the word about National Red Ribbon week by promoting our students commitment to living drug-free lives. Show your support by participating in the following Red Ribbon Week Spirit Days: Monday, October 22 - Wear Red to School Tuesday, October 23 – Wear your favorite sneakers Wednesday, October 24 – Wear your shirt backwards Thursday, October 25 – Wear a pair of funny socks Friday, October 26 – Wear your McNair Wear or a blue and white shirt Chuck E Cheese Night Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 3pm to 9pm Join us for fun and games at Chuck E Cheese in Herndon VA. The PTA will earn 15% of all sales for use in supporting events at McNair Elementary. Faculty and Staff who show their FCPS badges get a free meal! PTA Membership Drive January 2008 Have you joined the PTA? If not, it is never too late. Join before January 31 and your name will earn your child’s class credit for the competition. This classroom competition runs through the entire month of January. The two classes with the largest percentage of PTA memberships will win a pizza party.. Box Tops Competition February 2008 This classroom competition runs through the entire month of February. Children just need to bring in eligible boxtops with their teachers name on them and drop them in the library. To see a list of eligible items click here. BoxTops for Education McNair Reading Night Monday, March 3, 6:30 to 8pm, McNair Elementary Cafeteria and Library Please join us for our Third Annual McNair Reading Night. Come dressed in your pajamas and enjoy a bedtime snack and story. Also, bring a gently used book from home to trade with other students. Family Night at the Book Fair Wednesday, March 13, 2008 Times: 6:30pm – 8:30pm Join us for a pizza dinner in the Cafeteria before or after visiting the Scholastic Book Fair in the Library. End of the Year Picnic Monday, June 16, 2008 Times: 6:00pm – 8:00pm Join us for lots of fun one last time before school ends. We will have karaoke, moon bounces, sno-cone machines and popcorn. Bring dinner for your family and a dessert to share with your McNair family. |
